Yes! We are currently still able to accept orders and ship internationally. We would recommend ordering to addresses that you know you will be able to access, such as your home, as opposed to business addresses that may have restricted access.

We are trying to. Minor delays are happening internationally.

Our most recent update is that we are currently only shipping from Monday to Friday. However, we will be catching up on weekend orders at the start of the week, so it may take a few days for you to receive your shipping confirmation email. So do not panic, we have received your order and are working as quickly as possible to dispatch it, without compromising the safety of our team.

We will be sure to communicate any significant delays with you using the email address that you enter at checkout.

We understand that you may now need to amend your delivery address - some couriers have a self-service option that allows you to do this.

If this option is available to you, it will be included in the tracking information sent to you when your order has been dispatched. If the option is not available on your tracking link, then the courier does not have the ability to do this.

Unfortunately, the nohla team are not able to amend the delivery address of your order once it has been placed.

If you cannot change your delivery address, and no one else can accept the delivery, it will be returned to us and you will be refunded in full.

The courier may leave your order in a safe place at the address, if it is student accommodation or your place of work, we have extended the returns period to accommodate.

Our advice on returns at the moment is to not rush. We have extended our returns policy to 30 days to give everyone plenty of time to return items to us when it is safe to do so. Please check and follow the restrictions set by your local government, which may reduce the operating systems and hours of your local drop-off points or classify returning items as non-essential travel. Thank you and stay safe.

Payments & Shipping

As all orders are currently shipped from the UK, you may be subject to additional import fees upon delivery.

If you refuse the customs fee and the parcel is returned back to nohla, a shipping & handling fee may be deducted from your refund.

If you are still unsure on whether you will be subject to customs fees, we would recommend contacting your local customs office for more information before placing your order.

Once your order has been dispatched we will send a notification via email with your tracking information.

Alternatively, if you have an account please login to review your order status details.

If you are having trouble tracking your order with a courier, please use Global Package Tracking and enter the tracking number provided.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, simply contact us to initiate a return within 30 days. To be eligible for a return and full refund, your item must be unopened, unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted, such as (if applicable) any item not being returned in its original condition, or is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

We ship Globally!

UPDATE: Delivery times may vary due to the global disruption of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Please e-mail to discuss your delivery options. Kindly state which items you would like to purchase and the country you would like your order delivered to please.

In most cases couriers will leave a card or notify you if a delivery attempt was made. In which case, please contact the courier and arrange for a re-delivery to be made.

In some cases, your package will made available for your collection at your local post office. Please refer to your package tracking number.

In circumstances of failed delivery attempts, incorrect address details or items not collected from your local post office we reserve the right to charge a fee for the re-delivery of your items.

Typically, all items are dispatched on the same day and shipped together. However, there may be occasions where your orders are split into two separate deliveries. This is simply because we were not able to fit your order into 1 mailing bag/box, in this case your additional items should be delivered within 24-48 hours.

All product prices will show be shown in the local currency throughout your journey to the check out page at which point the final amount will be shown in GBP. Rest assured that the final amount will reflect the exact amount in your local currency as you expect just converted to GBP using the most up to date currency converter.

When you buy products sold and shipped from outside your country, you or the recipient are responsible for paying import taxes and duties based on the laws of the country into which the products are being delivered.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Our bamboo tableware will last longer if you wash it in warm soapy water. We do not advise putting our products in dishwashers. Aside from bamboo, avoid putting wood, copper, cast-iron, delicate glassware, and other non-dishwasher safe items in the dishwasher.

Wood splits and cracks when exposed to dishwasher temperatures, humidity and water. Delicate glassware can break in a dishwasher, making for a big mess to clean up. Some metals like cast-iron and copper are not meant to be washed in the dishwasher and can become damaged as well as cause damage to other dishes.

We do not recommend sterilising your products in a traditional steam steriliser as the extreme heat will reduce the lifetime of your bamboo products.

However, we would recommend using products like Milton's Sterilising Wipes.

Your nohla products are designed to last a lifetime, but much like any other product made from nature, it does require your gentle care.

Handle with care

Unfortunately our products are not immune to heavy falls or repeated knocks, this will cause cracks, splits or scuff the bowls and may render them unsafe to use.

Extend the lifetime

Oiling your bamboo dinnerware keeps the wood moisturised.

Think of it like your skin, the more it is exposed to the elements (water), the more it becomes scaly and dry, eventually leading to cracking and splitting.

A generous coating of oil moisturises the wood, and repeated application saturates the layers, keeping the wood resilient and provides a natural lustre.

Washing and storing

Our products are hand-wash only and not suitable for the dishwasher or microwave. The good news is bamboo is naturally antibacterial and microbial so warm soapy water is all you need.

When washing please be sure to remove the silicone ring when drying so the product can be dried in full. Much like any other natural product exposed to the elements of water and air over prolonged periods, you do not want to encourage mildew by leaving your products wet or soaked for extended periods.

Be quick - just like with blood or ink stains, the quicker you treat the stain: the easier it will be to remove. A biological laundry detergent, like Persil Small & Mighty Bio, that contains enzymes to help break down stains is ideal for pre-treating wooden surfaces that are stained with foods like curry or turmeric.

Remember to test any stain removal method on a small, inconspicuous area of the stained item first to check there is no adverse reaction.

1. Mix water and bicarbonate of soda together to form a paste.

2. Apply it to the stain, and rub gently with a soft cloth.

3. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Mould will typically develop under warm and damp conditions.

When washing please be sure to remove the silicone ring when drying so that the product can be dried in full. Much like any other natural product exposed to the elements of water and air over an extended period, you do not want to encourage mildew by leaving your products wet or soaked for prolonged periods.

Here are two methods we advise to remove any mould in the rare circumstances where you might see this:

Vinegar Method

Vinegar is a mild acid which can kill mildew.

Use white distilled vinegar and pour it into a spray bottle without watering it down. Spray the vinegar onto any mouldy surface and leave it to sit for an hour. Finally, wipe the area clean with a damp cloth and allow the surface to dry. Any smell from the vinegar should disappear within a few hours.

Baking Soda Method

Baking soda is a mild, white mineral powder, that can be used to kill mould in your home, it is also safe for your family and pets. Besides killing mould, it will absorb moisture to help keep mould away.

Add 1/4 of a tablespoon of baking soda to a spray bottle of water and shake until it has dissolved. Spray the mouldy area with the baking soda and water solution, use a scrub brush to remove all the mould from the surface. Rinse the surface with water to remove any residual mould on the surface.

Finally, spray the area again and let the surface dry. (This will kill any left-over mould and prevent the mould from returning).

All of these solutions are great non-toxic alternatives to chemical-based cleaners. Not only because they are safe to use and safe for the environment, but all of these products are inexpensive and easy to find in your local stores.

Bamboo is naturally odourless and tasteless. However, in rare cases you may find much like other materials it may hold onto the smell of last night supper especially if the ingredients are quite strong or pungent.

Step 1: Wash with hot soapy water after each use and rinse.

Step 2: Rub with salt and lime (or lemon)

Pour a small pile of salt in the bamboo (1 Tablespoon is enough). Cut a lemon or lime in half, squeeze out some of the juice till the salt dissolves a bit and is spreadable. Scrub all around with the lime for a few minutes and rinse. Then you should repeat on the other side. The lime is helpful for removing odours and also has anti-microbial properties to keep some bacteria from growing in the wood. The salt is an abrasive scrub, drawing moisture out and preventing any bacteria to build up any further odours.

Step 3: Rub with baking soda to remove any lingering smells

If your dinnerware smells fresh after the salt and lime method, then you’re done! If it still smells, try adding 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with some water and make a paste, rub the paste all over, let it sit for a minute and then rinse.

How to oil and maintain your nohla dinnerware in only 5 minutes every month

Oil your bamboo dinnerware only when they are as clean as possible and thoroughly dry.

Using a clean, soft cloth or paper towel, apply the oil in an even layer over the bamboo (we recommend coconut oil, almond oil, walnut oil, carnauba wax or Linseed oil).

Leave the oil to soak overnight if possible, or for at least a few hours.

Using a dry, clean cloth or paper towel, buff off any remaining oil so that the bamboo does not feel damp or sticky.

Why do it?

Think of it like your skin: the more it is exposed to the elements (air and water), the more it becomes scaly and dry, eventually leading to cracking and splitting. A generous application of oil moisturises the bamboo, repeated applications saturates the layers, keeping the bamboo resilient and providing a natural lustre.

Silicone is one of the most natural materials (besides glass) for use with feeding children. You may at times notice a distinct smell, these can occur when food oils and washing detergents cling to one another, it is not the silicone material itself.

There are several ways you can reduce and remove the smell:

01. Washing with lemon juice can help and it is safe.

02. Washing with baking soda.

03. Boiling the silicone for 5 minutes after cleaning will also eliminate the smell.

04. Baking the silicone in the oven for 2 hours at 200F/93C will eliminate the smell.

Although all of our silicone parts are dishwasher safe, dishwasher detergent can sometimes also leave a smell. Using washing up liquids that do not contain fragrances or additives will help to reduce the occurence of smells.

The silicone grip on our bowls and plates do not lose suction over time. However, there have been occasions where customers report that they feel the suction grip has lost its power.

We have learnt that sometimes oil from dish soaps and washing liquids can stick to the surface of the silicone causing them to lose suction.

To remove the soapy oil, rub a cut lemon or lime all over the silicone and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then rinse it off with hot water. It does not have to be a brand new, freshly cut fruit either. A half used or squeezed lemon/lime will do.

Here are some checks to help ensure your product suction grips as it was designed to:

Does your high chair or table have food debris on the surface?

Food and other items between the suction pad and surface will reduce the suction power.

Is the high chair or table smooth, flat, non-textured and non-porous?

Curved surfaces or texture prevent the suction from holding for extended periods. As an example, we know that the Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair has a slightly textured surface and does not work well with our products. Also, surfaces like rustic wooden tables tend to be slightly porous and prevent the suction pad from creating a vacuum.

The best way to test the suction of your product is to stick the plate or bowl to a flat window. This is just a test to check that suction is working. We do not intend for you to use the product in this way. You should find it sticks like glue and holds. In the instance that it is not. Please get in touch so we can investigate further.

Product Questions

Yes. As you would expect, our products meet or exceed food safety testing. All our products are tested and must pass independent international laboratory testing before we can label our products 'food safe.'

In order to meet the requirements of the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and the Consumer Product Safety Council (CPSC), we use an independent third party to test and certify that our products comply with product safety requirements.

Our products are not suitable for any excessive heat and should be used as a serving bowl/plate for your baby or child. Do not microwave or put in the oven, the extreme heat can reduce the lifetime of your product.

No. We do not compromise on the safety of our products. Melamine, a type of plastic resin, serves as a lightweight and durable alternative to fragile dinnerware.

While the chemical composition of melamine makes it fire and heat-resistant, it is not intended to be heated to high temperatures, especially whilst containing foods or beverages. Putting melamine in the microwave could result in chemicals transferring from the plate into the food; the more acidic the food and the higher the temperature, the greater the amount of melamine that transfers into the food.

While melamine in very small quantities may not be cause for concern, regularly eating foods contaminated with melamine increases the chances of several illnesses.

The bamboo that we use for our dinnerware varies in age, colour, texture and grain. This means that sometimes the lasered details on our products may at times appear much darker or lighter than the product images we have on our website. However, we make every effort to provide our customers with products that look the same as the images displayed on our website.

This is not due to fading or even a fault with the product, it is purely because of the way that the bamboo has absorbed the lasering of the details. Thank you for understanding.

Looking for a product that is out of stock? Sorry - You are probably not the only one!

If you click the alert button next to the product listing you can be the first to find out as soon as they go live.

If you have received a damaged or incorrect item, contact our customer support team at with a photo of the damage, or the incorrectly shipped product, as well as your order number and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, simply contact us to initiate a return within 30 days. To be eligible for a return and full refund, your item must be unopened, unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Due to hygiene reasons our tableware products cannot be exchanged. Of course, if there is a manufacturing fault with any product you are welcome to return the item back for a full refund, only if the product fault is reported within 30 days of purchase. Anything longer than this is near enough impossible for us to determine that the issue derives from a product fault and not customer usage.

After about 3 months worth of diligence and research, we chose to work with a specific factory in a small village in southern China, which grows organic bamboo. We looked at the process, the people and were satisfied that we had chosen a highly reliable company where bamboo cultivating provides jobs and opportunities for families who live there.

Our suction plates adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces such as plastic, tile, glass, fibreglass or metal. High chairs or wooden surfaces that are textured, porous or have slight curves will make it difficult to achieve lasting suction power.

To ensure a firm bond, surfaces should be totally free of dirt and soap film before attaching the plate.

The suction ring should be completely flush to the base of the bowl or plate, to prevent air suction loss, causing the plate to rise.

**Note* - Not compatible with Stokke Tripp Trapp since the highchair surface is slightly textured.
